Horicon Marsh offers a one-of-a-kind paddling experience through one of the largest freshwater cattail marshes in the United States.

Horicon Marsh offers a one-of-a-kind paddling experience through one of the largest freshwater cattail marshes in the United States. A designated water trail winds through part of the marsh, giving visitors a chance to explore the area’s diverse wildlife and scenic beauty by canoe or kayak.

Please note: Paddling is only permitted on the state-owned portion of the marsh. The federal refuge does not allow paddling access. Be sure to plan your route accordingly and respect all posted signage.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddler, the marsh provides a peaceful and memorable way to connect with nature in Dodge County.
