Canoers, kayakers, and stand-up paddleboarders have plenty of wonderful waters to explore in Dodge County in central Wisconsin, including sprawling lakes and serene rivers.
The Rock River and the Crawfish River offer outstanding paddling opportunities, and canoers and kayakers can find easy access at Astico Park (for the Crawfish River) and Harnischfeger Park (for the Rock River). The Rock River in Dodge County is also home to three segments (northern, east, and southern) of the Rock River Water Trail, which is designated as a National Water Trail. Paddling opportunities are also available on the Beaver Dam River.
Dodge County’s lakes are also ideal for canoers and kayakers. Popular paddling lakes include Beaver Dam Lake (rentals are available at Waterworks Park) and Lake Sinissippi, which is home to nine islands and plenty of backwaters to explore.
