Man fishing on Crawfish River in Autumn

Visitors to Dodge County will find excellent fishing opportunities on the area’s lakes and waterways.

The largest lake in the county, Beaver Dam Lake, sprawls over 6,700 acres in western Dodge County and is a great spot for northern pike, walleye, bass, catfish, bullhead, and panfish. The lake also plays host to several fishing tournaments throughout the year. Fox Lake (2,600 acres) and Lake Sinissippi (2,800 acres) are also among the county’s most popular spots for anglers.

Two smaller lakes—Lake Emily in northwestern Dodge County and Lost Lake in the west-central part of the county—are home to healthy populations of perch, bluegill, largemouth bass, and northern pike. Fishing is also available at several local parks, including Astico Park on the Crawfish River and Harnischfeger Park on the Rock River.
