When winter arrives in Dodge County, area parks and trails transform into wonderful places for snow-filled adventures like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Harnischfeger Park—the county’s largest—is located in southeastern Dodge County and offers abundant opportunities for winter recreation, including snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails.

The Horicon Marsh is open year-round and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are allowed, but there are no groomed trails. The Gold Star Memorial Trail between Mayville and the Horicon Marsh and the Wild Goose State Trail on the west side of the marsh also offers opportunities for snowshoers and cross-country skiers.
