Trails at the Horicon Marsh are open to hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the winter (the trails are not specifically designated for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing but can accommodate skiers and snowshoers). Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing can also be done at local parks like Harnischfeger Park in southeastern Dodge County and Ledge Park in northern Dodge County, as well as on the Wild Goose State Trail.

Dodge County is also home to more than 400 miles of snowmobile trails that cover all corners of the county and give riders the opportunity to experience some stunning scenery. (Motorsports enthusiasts can also ride the Dodge County ATV/UTV trail in winter—it’s open from December 1 to March 31.)
