Put on a pair of skis or snowshoes and explore Dodge County’s parks and trails when the snow flies for a fun adventure through a winter wonderland. Parks with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities include Harnischfeger Park, Ledge Park, and Nitschke Mounds Park, and trails like the Wild Goose State Trail and the Gold Star Memorial Trail can be used in the winter, too.

Snowmobiling

Riders will find more than 300 miles of county snowmobile trails and nearly 200 miles of club trails in Dodge County that provide a great experience for snowmobilers all season long. Dodge County consists of five snowmobile zones that can be opened or closed independently of one another as conditions warrant. Ice fishing

Dodge County is a great fishing destination all year long, with popular fishing lakes that are home to healthy populations of sought-after game species. In the northwestern part of the county, anglers can jig (or set their tip-ups) for pike, walleye, and panfish on the frozen waters of Beaver Dam Lake, Lake Emily, and Fox Lake. Lake Sinissippi near Hustisford is a good spot for panfish and also boasts healthy populations of pike and walleye.
